LiveBlog: WVU vs. Connecticut

13 March 2008

So this is our first shot at this LiveBlog thing. Hope this works out alright.

2:12 pm: Georgetown and Villanova go final, Hoyas win 82-63. Why do they schedule games two hours apart when most games take more than two hours just to complete?

2:14 pm: We join John Saunders and Hubert Davis in the studio. This is infinitely better than Tom Brennan and Doug Gottlieb.

2:26 pm: Oklahoma State beat Texas Tech in the “My Dad is Better Than Your Dad” bowl. Not only is Eddie Sutton’s son a better coach, Eddie could probably drink Bobby Knight under the table.

2:32 pm:Saunders and Davis are still making a case to leave WVU on the bubble. Maybe this isn’t better than Gottlieb and Co. And we’re headed live out to MSG after these messages!

2:37 pm:Jay Bilas says WVU must keep UConn off the foul line. Great observation.

2:40 pm: Tim Higgins is calling the game, so don’t expect WVU to keep UConn off the foul line. WVU goes…match-up zone!

2:42 pm: UConn with a turnover on their first possession, that has to be a good sign. Token pressure in the backcourt by the Huskies.

2:43 pm: 3-0 WVU, Da’Sean Butler with a trey, UConn with another turnover followed by Alex Ruoff blowing a layup. Can’t afford that.

2:44 pm:3-2 WVU. A.J. Price makes two foul shots. Where’s my laptop?
